Microsoft Lifecam Studio Mac Too Bright

Where are the camera brightness in Windows Camera app?

2- When the Camera app becomes open, click the gear icon located in the top left corner.
3- Turn on the toggle button of Pro mode to view advanced controls for photos and videos.
4- Once you are in Pro mode, In the left side you will view two icons, click the second one named Brightness.
5- A control bar will come into the view.
With the mouse, move the slider upwards to brighten your photos and videos or move it downwards to darken them.

This just recently started to happen. I bought a Microsoft LifeCam HD because it was at a very good price. My MacBook Pro is connected to an external monitor 99% of the time and I needed a webcam. It recently started act up and the brightness is so bright the person can not see you. This is using iChat, FaceTime, or Yahoo Messenger.
It worked fine last night but when I tried to use it this morning it had issues again. Tried rebooting, changing USB ports, etc. I tried to see if there is some way to adjust brightness but none of those application allow it.
Any suggestions?

I like convenience if anyone has an external webcam that works with no issues let me know I might sell this one and get a different one.
